The lovely café Niša is hidden under Ljubljana's Central Market (right by the Ljubljanica River) and shares a cohabitational space with art gallery, DobraVaga. Customers often move around the shared space, and it isn’t an uncommon sight to see a customer leafing through a ‘zine’ (an artist’s portfolio) from DobraVaga while also sipping a cup of specialty coffee from Niša. If you want a bite to eat, Niša has reasonably priced breakfasts, cold cuts, as well as daily soups, pies and sandwiches that can also be served as a lunch combo. From its local, fair trade coffee to its vintage plates and cutlery, Niša places an emphasis on sustainability. With their friendly staff and two terraces, it isn’t hard to imagine Niša becoming one of the coolest cafés in Ljubljana.
