Memorial Ossuary Kumanovo

Kumanovo     more than a year ago
Dating from 1957 and located inside a park designed specifically for the purpose and that's now in a sad state of disrepair, the Memorial Ossuary Kumanovo was constructed to commemorate the start of the uprising against the Nazis on October 11, 1941 and was officially unveiled on the 16th anniversary of the event. Built in the typically bombastic Socialist Realist style of the time, as well as being a symbol of freedom the monument also holds the remains of those killed in the area during the fight against fascism during the Second World War. Find it just north of the centre to the left of the main road as it goes up the hill.
