Mount Korab

Mount Korab     more than a year ago
The highest peak in the mountain range of the same name, at 2,764 metres Mount Korab is the fourth highest mountain in the Balkan Peninsula. Straddling the border with Albania and stretching over 40 kilometres in length, the entire chain of mountains of mostly shale and limestone rock features all manner of wonderful things including the spectacular Korab Falls, some of the best rock climbing in the country and is also part of the wonderful and vast Via Dinarica hiking trail. Note that due to its geographical location, special permits are required to visit some parts of the area.
