Pissaladière


Pissaladière is a tart, that is more like a pizza, filled with anchovies, olives, and onions. The anchovies are what make the tart delicious.

Les Petits Farcis


This dish is Nicoise and made of all sorts of vegetables mixed with ground meat and garlic. Les Petits Farcis can be eaten cold or hot and served with different carbohydrates.

Ratatouille


Ratatouille is the favourite of Nice, actually, it is originated from Nice. The dish is made of vegetables and herbs such as thyme, bay leaves, garlic, onions, tomatoes, Zucchini, and eggplants. Ratatouille can be served with chicken or red meat.

Niçoise salad


One might think that salad is the same everywhere in the world. Make no mistake, Niçoise salad is slightly different. It is made of the usual vegetables such as tomatoes, onions, black olives, and mixed with radish, tuna, hard-boiled eggs, and anchovies.

Socca


Socca is that typical street food in Nice. It is basically a pancake made of chickpeas that is very thin and crusty. This is more like a snack that people eat in between meals when they get slightly hungry. Many restaurants serve these as they are very common in Nice and eaten by the locals quite regularly.

Daube Niçoise


The Daube Niçoise is a comforting dish that is eaten as a proper heavy dish that is fulfilling. This dish is made of slow-cooked beef dipped in red wine, carrots, onions, and herbs, as it is simmering for several hours. Daube Niçoise usually goes with pasta, but it can be eaten with other sides as well such as fresh bread.
