Once an artsy, eccentric and somewhat timeless hotel that embodied Kraków's Kazimierz district of 15 years ago, Alef's move to Św. Agnieszki puts it technically outside of the former Jewish district and seems to have sapped much of its charm. While the location is quiet and convenient, the hotel is quite outdated and the standard is 'modest' you might say. Most of the enduring charm is in the ground floor dining area, packed with antiques, paintings and puppets. The rooms, however, are small and offer little to make you prefer spending time there over the cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Note that their website has not been updated since their move, so the photos are not accurate. As such, this is a bit of a dice roll.
