Established in 1938, Łódź Zoo features the Orientarium, the most modern pavilion in Europe devoted to presenting the fauna and flora of Southeast Asia. The size of almost 10 football fields, the zoo features 3,350 animals (554 species), including giraffes, lions, tigers, reptiles and scores of other captivating critters. The Orientarium itself is home to an impressive 35 species of land animals and 180 species of fish!
The zoo's infrastructure allows different species of the animal kingdom to dwell in a large open space, integrating with each other in a varied habitat. These guests can be viewed from a multi-level of three perspectives: underwater, on land, and from above. The zoo features the spectacle of being able to watch animal feeding times. In fact, they offer more than 20 scheduled animal feeding presentations, including one of the most popular attractions among visitors: the elephants’ bathing session. Check their website for more!
