Piwnica Łódzka

A quick disclaimer for anyone wishing to visit Piwnica Łódzka - 'piwnica' in Polish means 'basement', which is precisely where this restaurant is located, not far from Piotrkowska street. There is no lift so you must deal with the spiral stairs to get in. Once in, you find quite a snug restaurant, dealing with foods unique to both Łódź and Poland. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable, so don't be afraid to ask for help in choosing a regional dish - we recommend the hearty favourite meat broth and a choice of various pierogi. We love pierogi, but these flavours were a first for us and they were delightful!
