Enviably located in the 'Żelazko' building - Poznań's pint-sized version of NYC's Flatiron Building - this Parisian café-boulangerie simply exudes French panache, almost to its own detriment. With a swanky interior of high ceilings, window seating and a central communal table - plus one of the most glorious patio gardens in town - its gravitational pull is strong, attracting everyone from hipsters and students to socialites. Perfect for breakfast (served all day), the menu is built around the excellent bread and pastries baked on-site, and includes French classics like croque monsieur and crème brûlée, gourmet cheese and charcuterie boards, homemade jams, great coffee and a strong wine list. This being Poznań, they also offer their own take on the St Martin's Croissant in the form of the much smaller and more affordable 'Poznań rugelach' (obligatory). Although perhaps too trendy for its own good, you could spend days in Paris (or Poznań) trying to find a café as great as Charlotte. Why bother?
