Though set a fair distance from the centre (you'll need a car or taxi) near a fork in the Odra River, this modern German-funded hotel is surrounded by greenery and offers plenty of peace and quiet. The sports facilities include a football field and tennis courts, but unfortunately the fantastic swimming pool is only accessible to guests in the evening when the school kids have cleared out. That's okay, you can kill time in the sauna and jacuzzi instead.
