A novel way to get about town and to see the major sites is to jump onto one of the rickshaws which you'll find parked up at various points around the main square. These 2-3 seater vehicles will take you on a tour of the Old Town and even out as far as the airport (though we can't see any virtue in the idea). Rides around the Old Town 15zł, Ostrów Tumski 25zł.
