Football matches in Riga

26 Sep 2019
Latvia’s greatest football achievement occurred in the 2004 European Championship in Portugal when the Latvian side had to settle for a 0-0 draw with Germany. Since then, major ‘victories’ haven’t been forthcoming. More recently, Latvia held Turkey, who later trounced the Netherlands, to a 1-1 draw in its Euro 2016 qualifying campaign. You can watch local professional football matches at Skonto Stadium (Melngaiļa 1a) and Euro 2020 qualifiers at Daugava Stadium. Tickets can be bought at  www.bilesuserviss.lv.
