Līvija Endzelīna was one of the 20th century’s most renowned Latvian artists, yet she often shied away from the public eye and rarely discussed her artistic process. Although she also dabbled in portraits, she is best known for intriguing still life paintings, which may seem simple and realistic, yet are often packed with symbolic meaning.
