Those without the luxury of a personal vehicle are left to the whims of the Slovenian public transport network. Ljubljana and Slovenske Konjice are connected by three daily buses, leaving the capital at 09:30, 12:00 and 13:10 respectively, the last of which also goes through Zreče. This journey sometimes necessitates a change of bus in Celje, but as the driver also changes bus this shouldn’t prove too difficult to work out. Slovenske Konjice is a stop on the Ljubljana - Maribor line, and as such buses from Slovenia’s second city run three times a day as well. If you’re looking to get the bus from Austria or Croatia, you are going to have to go via Ljubljana or Maribor (or possibly Celje).
