Rostov-on-Don isn’t exactly a shopper’s paradise, but there are plenty of shopping centres and stores to keep the purchase-happy busy. There’s even an IKEA! As for traditional souvenirs, the region is famous for its ceramics. You can expect plenty of ceramic-based gifts as a result, with everything from plates to vases and more filling the shelves. Russian dolls in traditional garb can also be found, along with the Russian staples of vodka, fur hats and questionable Soviet merchandise.
