A peculiar setting for a puppet theatre, Maribor's very own puppet hub inhabits renovated spaces inside a Minorite monastery in the oldest part of town, Lent. Started in the 70s by the merging of two theatre centres, today boasting a big and small showroom as well as an auditorium, the theatre attracts a variety of events with an emphasis on the love for puppets, which with their distinguished human or superhuman characteristics play out significant stories and myths from the old days all the way out to modern-day, entertaining the young and old.
