Ljubljana Festival

Planica

Slovenia’s sporting highlight, Planica is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Julian Alps and plays host to the annual ski flying world cup each March, where the world's best ski jumpers defy gravity and soar record-breaking distances through the sky as tens of thousands of visitors cheer them on. www.planica.si

Prešeren Fair

Radovljica Chocolate FestIval

The Radovljica Chocolate Festival is actually Slovenia's best chocolate event. Vinska Vigred in Bela Krajina

The three-day wine festival attracts domestic and foreign lovers of top Bela Krajina wines, again and again. Living Nativity Scenes in Postojna Cave

Lent Festival

A two-week program of music, art and more, Lent is Maribor’s pride and joy. A festival that is truly for anyone and everyone, it takes place on the Lent Embankment along the River Drava, a beautiful setting for one of our favourite festivals. www.festival-lent.si

Kravji Bal

Unsure what Kravji Bal might mean? Ponder no further. The annual Cow Ball takes place in Bohinj and has 60 years of tradition behind it. A banquet of food, live performances and much more make up this most fun of weekends. www.bohinj.si/en/events/cows-ball

Beer and Flower Festival

In a town that is famous for its beer and flowers, it should come as no surprise that Laško plays host to a Beer and Flowers Festival annually. Around 150,000 visit every year to enjoy beer, live music, beer, flower exhibitions and beer. www.pivo-cvetje.si
