This Stalin's Empire style building is crowned with a steeple and looks alike the St. Petersburg Admiralty. Its interior decoration with stucco and other architectural delights, most likely, will not be appreciated — everything is hidden by the shop-windows of fashionable boutiques. But Port of Sochi is beautiful both in the daytime and at night, when a spectacular backlight comes on, so tourists and locals are always there. They come to go for a swim in the open sea, to get to the neighbouring districts by boat or to visit parties in one of the restaurants of the Grand Marina gallery.
This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and romantic places in central Sochi. But only if you put on blinders and earmuffs to brisk trade and touts offering short sea trips.
Our tip: If you want to go on marine trip — take tickets at the ticket office. Prices there are much lower and boats are safer.
