Cine Libri is an International Book&Movie Festival, which will have its 5th anniversary this year. It is an extraordinary annual event, which unites renowned creators from different fields of art and thousands of fans of cinema and literature. This year the festival will begin on 5th October with a grand ceremony and screening of Roman Polanski's new movie "An Officer and a Spy".

In all  55 different movies will be shown during the key events of the festival. 
Bear in mind that most movies are in French, Swedish, Portuguese and … the subtitles are in Bulgarian.

9.10.19 Brazilian Gala with the screening of “The Invisible Life of Euridice Gusmao”. The movie was awarded with the “UN CERTAIN REGARD PRIZE” during the Cannes Festival and it is among this year's entries for an Oscar in the category Best Foreign Language Movie. 11.10.19 French Gala with the screening of “Thalasso” a movie aboutprovocative French writer Michel Houellebecq who meets with Gérard Depardieu at a sea water therapy center. Together, they try to survive the health regime to which they have been subjected by the establishment. Events quickly derail their routine. 12.10.19 Italian Gala with the screening of “5 e il numero perfetto” (“5 is the perfect number”) an crime/drama/thriller movie which is set in the 1970s along the grey and narrow streets of Naples. Where: Kino Lumiere Lidl, pl.Bulgaria 1 When: 18:00

13.10.19 The French-American film star Christopher Lambert, heads the jury of the fifth anniversary edition of the CineLibri International Film and Literary Festival! The award ceremony for the most talented literary adaptation will take place in the National Palace of Culture at 19:00 (The movies, that are part of the competition are marked in green here) and will be accompanied by a premiere screening of the film “Celle que vous croyez” (Who you think I am) starring Juliette Binoche. 16.10.19  'The Mysterious Lagerfeld' is an evening dedicated to one of the most significant and charismatic figures in the global fashion industry, Karl Lagerfeld, to whom we said farewell this year. Visitors to the event can watch the French documentary  “Karl Lagerfeld” and buy the Bulgarian edition of the new book, written about him. Where: Cinema House, ul. Ekzarh Yosif 37  When: 19:00

18.10.19 French Gala with the screening of “Double vies” (“Double Lives”) a movie, set in the Parisian publishing world, where an editor and a writer find themselves in over their heads, as they cope with a mid-life crisis, the changing industry and their wives.
