Presented by Cultural Connections Africa (CCA) in partnership with WOMAD UK, Sounds from Africa is a new online concert series showcasing African music and performers on a global online platform. Performances are free to stream although donations are kindly appreciated to help support the arts in lockdown.

Described as “the first regular live stream concert series with a pan-continental scope to emerge from the African continent” Sounds from Africa will feature performers from 17 African countries whose music covers a vast range of genres and styles, presenting to the world great variety and depth of the African music scene.

Among some of the most famous names who will be performing live from their homes are critically acclaimed South African singer-songwriter Nakhane and African music icon Vusi Mahlasela.

Watch the performances live on www.skyroomlive.com or on the WOMAD Festival Facebook page on Mondays from 20:00 (CAT).
