Tena: My favourite place for coffee is an old local swim/sports club named Jadran, situated in Zvončac on the west coast of Split. I can go there in my bikini, drink coffee and take a swim between sips. In terms of going out, I like a late dinner especially at restaurant ZOI with my friends and then choose to dance out the calories at the Central Club. An early morning barefoot walk down the beautiful west coast to my home makes it a perfect day.
SIYP: Recommendations for a beach?
Tena: My favourite beach is Kasuni, Joe's beach. It encompasses beautiful nature, the sea, and small pebbles that make this my perfect Sunday hangout.
SIYP: What is your secret place to escape from the crowds?
Tena: In the summer, it is difficult to escape the crowds even at my all favourite running route through the Marjan forest, but off the main paths it’s easy to find yourself all alone and surrounded by nature’s aromas, sounds and breath-taking views.
SIYP: Which souvenirs from Split should visitors bring home with them?
Tena: I love food and wine. I think the best souvenir is a nice bottle of wine, olive oil and an oversized man t-shirt with a funny Split quote.
SIYP: Which local specialties should visitors try?
Tena: There is the usual pašticada, grilled fish and soparnik but I really like smoked gibanica at restaurant ZOI, tradition with a twist.
