Finlyandsky station

Finlyandsky station station was the only one which functioned at the time of blockade, the Road of Life started here. Also it is famous for having been the location where Vladimir Lenin returned to Russia from exile in Switzerland on 3 April 1917. The train Lenin arrived by is installed nowadays in the glass pavilion on the platform of the station. Local trains to Helsinki (Allegro high-speed train), Viborg and towns and villages on the Finnish beaches such as Zhelenogorsk, Sestoretsk, Repino, Komarovo, and further north into Karelia depart from here.
