ASK THE CONCIERGE

27 Nov 2017

St. Petersburg In Your Pocket talks to Irada Agalarova, Regional Director of Les Clefs d’Or Russia.

- A few words about yourself and your career.
- Working for more than ten years in the hospitality industry makes you demanding. You try to get a feel for your guests, predict their inquiries and choose a certain lifestyle full of new experiences and challenges, old world luxury but with modern sophistication.

- Three favourite museums
- For each resident, especially those born in Leningrad, the Hermitage is the favourite museum. You cannot get enough of it even visiting once per month. Permanent exhibitions are always a good idea to be included in a guided tour and the temporary ones can be visited independently. Do not forget that the Impressionists are based in the General Staff building, which is opposite the Winter Palace.
The next “must see” is the Fabergé Museum. The whole winter they are hosting Modigliani, Soutine and other legends of Montparnasse together with an amazing permanent collection of Easter Fabergé eggs and 3,000 works of decorative and fine art.
And since you are visiting our city during winter time, you should experience the traditional Troika ride with three horses like in real a Russian fairy-tale. Combine it with a visit to the Amber Room in Catherine’s Palace.
