Sprüngli has been around for over 180 years and for locals it’s synonymous with excellent confectionery and chocolate. Their café is the place to stop for a coffee when shopping on Bahnhofstrasse. Try to get a window seat on the first floor overlooking Paradeplatz, order a coffee and choose something sweet from the display cabinet like their famous luxemburgerli (macaroons with a light and airy cream filling) or Swiss chocolate. They also offer many breakfast and brunch options including three different combos, which are served in style on tiered stands until 15:00. Unusual for Switzerland you pay at the counter when leaving.
