They say better late then never, and that theory will be put to the test on 20 October, when the pride of Tacoma, Washington and musical influencers of Nirvana, Bruce Springsteen, the Fall, the White Stripes and countless others will be performing in Slovenia for the very first time. Originally formed in 1960, The Sonics will also be putting the Ship of Theseus paradox to the test (much to the amusement and delight of first year philosophy students no doubt), as saxophonist Rob Lind is the sole founding member of the group who still tours. Needless to say we'll be in attendance and standing front and centre, as who knows if it will be another 58 years before they make it back to the sunny side of the Alps.
