Villa Yustina Winery

Villa Yustina Winery is situated in the outskirts of Rhodope mountains in the picturesque village Ustina, alongside the motorway between Pazardjik and Plovdiv. The region is well known for its beautiful nature and ancient wine history. Established in 2006, Villa Yustina is a prime example of modern wine production in Bulgaria with quality wines, winning awards at international wine competitions. Visit them for a day trip from Plovdiv or stay overnight in their charming guesthouse to sample as many of their wines as possible. Pure varietal or blended, the wines made from their white grapes: Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, Semillon, Aligoté, Gewürztraminer and from the red:Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Mavrud and Rubin. They are divided in 3 series: Villa Yustina, Four Seasons and Monogram.

On 200 hectares in the Gorkata area, there are 40 hectares of their own vineyards, a Boer goat farm for a special south-African breed of goats and a park, which is used for various events for wine lovers, such as a Picnic during harvesting season, Folklore BBQ Party, Wine tastings and more. Details of these can be found on their website.
Villa Yustina was awarded “The Golden Winery of Bulgaria” in 2015 for new ideas in wine tourism. The wine traveller has the opportunity to follow “the wine trail” from the vineyards to the bottling plant and to enjoy tasting the quality wines in the tasting room, or even to participate in one of the events from the Annual Events Calendar of the winery. The cellar is open for wine tourists every day from 10 am to 4 pm, but advance booking arrangements for tasting is recommended!
