The Cafe Palmhof, located at Mariahilferstrasse 135, is much missed by many members of Viennese society. The cafe was ran by Otto Pollak, and his life story typifies Jewish participation in the city’s cultural life. This exhibition tells that tale, allowing Pollak’s curious ways to come to the fore, seen through artefacts and objects from this iconic spot.
