The Flying Lesson is an exhibition by Polish cartoonist and illustrator Andrzej Krauze showcasing his work for The Guardian newspaper in the U.K., spanning the last 30 years. Krauze himself has lived and worked in London for 40 years, but those who know his illustrations in Poland may rememeber his satirical depictions in Kultura of the abusrdity of the Communist system in Poland. The Flying Lesson focuses on the changing nature of the print medium and how his work has affected, and been affected by, such fast paced change. On display are works that depict major world events of the last three decades, using only illustration, not words, to sum up a stituaion and make as big an impact as any article could hope to achieve.
