Organised by Smaczny Targ, this is two events in one - a festive holiday market under Warsaw's most iconic building, and a festival of dumplings from around the world!

As experience has taught us, it's wise to not leave your shopping until the last minute and even more clever to not do it indoors in a shopping mall full of frantic crowds. Christmas fairs at the Palace of Culture & Science offer an authentic holiday atmosphere, but with views and vibes you can only get in the Polish capital. A huge variety of gift inspirations - from regional handicrafts and holiday decorations to jewellery and sweets - will be available, plus mulled wine and Poland's signature food - pierogi! Find them boiled, fried, baked, sweet or savoury with a myriad of stuffings. As this event ably demonstrates, however, maybe stuffed dumplings aren't as original as Poles like to think. In fact, dozens of cultures have their own interpretation of this food, and here you'll be able to try not only Polish pierogi but also Georgian chinkals, Indian samosas, Japanese gyosis, Turkish mantas, Vietnamese hacao, Spanish empanadas and Italian ravioli, not to mention a variety of dim sum. It's a dumpling extravaganza, so bring an appetite. Note that you have to pay a small fee to enter the fairgrounds.
