One of the newest Polish restaurants to open in Warsaw right in the Old Town - what it lacks in size, it certainly makes up for in taste. Widokówka, meaning postcard, feels just like that - with a very snug and homey interior, it's almost picture perfect. The design is warming enough, but the food just takes the coziness up a notch. A modern take on traditional Polish cuisine, we were quite surprised with the quality, with each spoonful and forkful from the seasonal menu eliciting a memory of Polish grandma's cooking despite the modern aesthetic. A lunch menu is available Mon-Fri 12:00-16:00 with soup, a main and water with lemon costing only 23zł. There's some great food to be had here, and despite its location, the prices certainly won't dent your bank account. Try the board of regional hams and the homemade liquors - delightful.
