Konrad Jarodzki, a painter and an architect, is one of the most important figures of the contemporary art scene in Wrocław. His abstract form of art is derived from a natural technique specifically attributed to him. Using his painterly means sparsely, Jarodzki activates huge layers of our imagination and encourages us to search for new meanings. The artist wants his paintings to be open to interpretation and prefers to leave his works unnamed. Nevertheless, his last series of paintings is non-abstract, among them portraits and birds in the snow. Finally, the series devoted to the grave subject of the World Trade Center terrorist attack, where he applies his technique to depict very real, dramatic event.
