Artists Francisco Goya (1746–1828) and Salvador Dalí (1904–1989) lived in other eras, but they shared a common Spanish pedigree and the same national heritage from which they drew inspiration. Both of them in their time have achieved success as taste creators, and their work has changed the way art has been conceived and produced.

Gdy śpi rozum, budzą się potwory (ENG: The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters) at the Museum of Theatre presents the complete series of Goya's Los Caprichos engravings, printed from original discs in 1821-1836 (some of them after the artist's death) and the same graphic interpritations of Salvador Dali - Les Caprices de Goya de Dali, published according to Dali's will by Ateliers Rigal in Paris, 1977. Both juxtaposed graphic cycles come from a private collection of a collector who knew Dali personally and has been collecting his works for many years.
