Łukasz Rusznica. Underground River

Feb 21 - Sep 7 2020       Pl. Strzegomski 2

Łukasz Rusznica explores red colour in photography, which thanks to the processing of photosensitive papers in the darkroom allows for the materialization of the photographic image, which in turn transforms a fleeting image into specific physical features.
In Łukasz Rusznica's Underground River, red light accompanies the appearance of yōkai - monsters, heroes of history and stories from Japanese folklore. The images are the bodies of the people the artist met in Takamatsu. Red becomes a colour that reveals the world of myths, enables contact with what is mysterious, subconscious, and dangerous.
