The artist’s four pastel portraits, as well as sixty-four sketches and drawing studies, collected in this exhibit are on loan from the Boris Voznitsky Lviv National Art Gallery. The other works constituting the Lviv collection are sketches created by Wyspiański while working on the painted decoration of St. Mary’s Basilica in Kraków, the sketches created during the artist’s first artistic journey across Europe, as well as drawings documenting Wyspiański’s military service in Kraków, sketches from Paris, and caricatures of historical events.
