If you're heading back inland or for the Paklenica National Park by the old, non-highway route, look for the village Zaton Obrovački, about half an hour’s drive from Zadar. Here they make tasty lamb and pork roasted on spit as well as fresh, homemade bread cooked under the iron bell (ispod peke). If you drop in, you won’t regret it.
