At the end of 1898, a group of Croatian painters and sculptors, led by Bukovac and Frangeš Mihanović, held the grand opening of the Art Pavilion in Zagreb with the Croatian Salon exhibition. This has been the home for the formation of the Croatian cultural identity through art and 2018 will mark its 120th anniversary. In order to show the art of the last century in painting and sculptural pieces, for the 120th anniversary, they will be display 120 pieces of art created by 120 different artists. Each artist will be represented with a single piece of artwork. Some popular artists displayed will be Bukovac, Medović, Meštrović and Vidović.
