The Seljan brothers, Mirko and Stevo were famous Croatian explorers who on January 23, 1899, set off for a ‘journey around the world on foot’ and never looked back. After residing in Ethiopia for some time they set off for South America where they explored the vast areas of Brazil, Paraguay and Peru, the countries in which they eventually met their tragic end. The exhibition will showcase the objects, letters, photographs, diaries and notebooks about their incredible journeys.
