Bucharest has a number of curious, historical buildings, which fit none of our other categories all that well.

As a result, we've thrown them all to together here, under the heading Buildings with a history. 

Some of these buildings can be visited, while others are closed to the general public. All are worthy of note, however, and at least a quick look from outside.

Arcul de Triumf

Arcul de Triumf

CEC

Circus Globus

Palatul din Piata Victoriei

Palatul din Piata Victoriei

Palatul Justitiei

Palatul Justitiei
Romania's supreme court, host to any number of libel trials involving our good selves, is housed in a monumental but rather run down building on the banks of the Dambovita. Read_on (No Comments)

Romanian Military Academy

Romanian Military Academy
This enormous building, visible from kilometers away, from the other end of Str. Stirbei Voda, was designed by Duiliu Marcu (also responsible for the Palatul Victoriei) and carries his trademark linearity. Read_on (No Comments)

Universitate
