Situated on the Old Bazaar side of the Vardar next to Skopje's landmark Stone Bridge, the Archaeological Museum of North Macedonia is the oldest museum of its kind in the country. Its permanent exhibition displays over 7,000 artefacts of extraordinary historical, cultural, and artistic value, all of them telling their own unique stories of the country’s long and often turbulent past. The museum also organises several temporary exhibitions each year.
