According to the young staff the translation of the not so common name of this place would be ‘open your mouth and stick out your tongue’. This no doubt sounds a bit weird if you’re a foreigner, but it’s the old fashioned Dutch sign for a pharmacy that was once housed here. A diverse clientele of neighbourhood types, market visitors, students and tourists eat and drink here partly due to the cheap lunch specials of simple Dutch food.
