This corner brown bar isn’t doing itself any favours by having a bank of gambling machines up against the wall, but the shabby oriental carpets on each table definitely conform to local standards. When we dropped by, the locals were surprised by our intrusion, but the barkeep grudgingly served us anyway. There wasn’t much to do in this sporting café and even the pool table was covered so we knocked back a small beer and hit the road.
