One of the more striking examples of Amsterdam School architecture is not only home to the city archives, but also a conference centre and an exhibition hall, which is currently displaying Dutch contributions to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The stunning Art Deco interior was the was the brainchild of renowned architect K.P.C. de Bazel, who illustrated his fascination with the timeless art of the ancient Egyptians and Assyrians throughout the building. A café is also open to the public.
