The terrace with views of busy Overtoom is often occupied by local hipsters as well as elderly Amsterdammers who both enjoy the pleasant atmosphere. Don't forget to visit the toilets downstairs, which are among the safest in the city as they're located inside the old bank's huge safe. Try the Mokums pekelvlees, a baguette with grilled meat and sour extras, which tastes much better than it sounds.
