Just look for the incredibly narrow building jutting out into the middle of the street to find this local bar that not only offers pancakes and sandwiches, but also a good selection of what the owners refer to as XXL burgers. The burgers are indeed big, which is why it only offers fries and a salad as extra optional side dishes. The Saloon is cosy and unpretentious, if a little run down, and provides a food selection of brews including Steen Brugge. Ajax football is occasionally projected onto a beaten and wrinkled big screen on match days.
