Strandpaal 19half looks more like a traditional grand café than a beach pavilion with its porcelain beer signs, assorted nick-nacks and brown leather chairs. That said, the less conventional view of the seemingly endless North Sea can't be beat. The building itself is built on sturdy wooden pilings that make it look nearly tsunami proof.
