Amsterdam used to boast over 1,000 coffeeshops, but these days only a quarter of these remain, including Paradox in the heart of the Jordaan, which has served as a haven for local smokers since 1991. Most tourists never set foot in this quiet place, even though it's more than worth a detour. Its walls are regularly decorated by promising young graffiti artists and the best works will make you feel like you're hallucinating even when you're not stoned.
