The first thing one notices about this Overtoom institution is the façade of the charming brick building in which it’s housed. It’s completely covered in vines that cling to it like some 1970s B horror movie. Inside you’ll find a cosy spot where you can eat some freshly made quiche, meatballs and many other dishes including its excellent lasagne. Plenty of beer and wine is also available, but bear in mind that there are only a few benches inside and out so you might want to buy something here and then head over to the nearby Vondelpark for a picnic.
