The beautiful Spaarne River meanders throughout Haarlem and a couple of canals also cut through its historical centre making a boat tour of the city an absolute must. Post Verkade Cruises offers 50-minute boat trips on modern vessels that depart once every hour from the Spaarne River, opposite the Teylers Museum. For a surcharge you can order drinks and cocktail snacks or high tea while sailing around the city. The boats can also be rented for private parties.
