Literally translated, Vogelhuis means Bird House and we must admit, the name certainly does this place justice. Not unlike birds,  people also crave space to roam and the glass ceilings in parts of the building lend it a unique atmosphere with views of the skies above. This gigantic place is packed nearly every day with Dutch tourists who enjoy the relaxed setting and the inexpensive cuisine. Dating back to 1934, Vogelhuis Oranjerie is run by the third generation of the same family who take pride in pampering their guests inside or on the huge terrace.
