In 2000 Aruba Airport was completely renovated and this modern transport hub is conveniently located in the middle of the island and includes all of the facilities you could wish for. Free wi-fi is another bonus and art lovers can enjoy a number of works in the Sculpture Garden (just before the local immigration area). If you have a flight to the US, be at the airport at least 3 hours before your departure or you'll miss your flight. Customs and US passport control is actually done at this airport and not in the US where you land. You'll go through several procedures and a security check twice.

Taxis offer standard rates and fares vary from $15 - 30 depending on the location of your hotel. If you prefer public transport, bus stops are located just outside the airport.
