Once upon a time Zeerovers was the place to be if you were looking for fresh seafood and an opportunity to dine with locals. Unfortunately, our rave reviews in years may have made this place too popular as many things have changed, and not for the better. The simple location at the dock is still the same, but sadly the quality of the fish has declined. The best chance to soak up the vibrant atmosphere is still during the week, when locals choose to eat at this rustic favourite. Hungry tourists looking for an ‘authentic local place’ seem to drop by mainly at the weekends. Bear in mind that only cash is accepted and that you'll pay according to the weight of the fish. Order at the counter and be ready to get your hands dirty removing all of the bones, head, skin and other inedible parts.
